Any ideas on how to correct this issue?įirst, Please visit the following KB and see whether It can solve your issue:Įrror code when you perform a system state backup operation in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2 This is a Windows Backup issue since Backup Exec is able to backup the system state fine and it's only the Windows backup utility that's failing. I have also tried it with and without the current Backup Exec updates installed. Tried installing the hotfix from KB article 2182466, but it says that it doesn’t apply to our server (probably because it’s included in SP1). The only other component installed is the HP ProLiant Support Pack, which has the drivers for the NICs and array controllers. The server is a fresh build with just Windows installed. The server has been rebuilt 3 times and the issue occurs every time. I have also tried installing Backup Exec 2010 R2, and I received the same results. If we remove Backup Exec from the server, the Windows backup starts working again. Please review the event details for a solution, and then rerun the backup operation once the issue is resolved. As soon as we install BE 2010 R3 the backup stops working and it crashes with the following error(s): Without Backup Exec 2010 R3 (or R2) installed, this backup works fine and is successful. Before we push patches, we kick off a PowerShell scripts that creates a system stateīackup using the Windows Server Backup program. We currently have an HP D元80 G7 with Windows 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 installed.
